(PEORIA) State Senator Dale Risinger (R-Peoria) and State Representative David Leitch (R-Peoria) will jointly hold a Town Meeting in Dunlap at the Village Hall, 104 North Second Street from 6:00 p.m. -7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 9, 2006.
The legislators are inviting the public and the media to join them as they listen to the views of citizens they represent and take questions on state government matters. After the Town Hall Meeting, Senator Risinger and Representative Leitch will be proceeding to listen in to the Village Trustee Meeting scheduled at 7:00 p.m.
“Town Hall meetings are a tried and true method of providing citizens an opportunity to express their views and ask questions of their elected officials,” said Risinger. “I am pleased to join Representative Leitch in this Town Meeting for the people of Dunlap.”
“Listening is a crucial component of representing people in the Legislature and I look forward to hearing the concerns and views of Dunlap constituents and answering their questions,” said Leitch.
